Grace For The Pilgrimage

$25.00

by Denise Jackson

Grace for the Pilgrimage was written  to be used independently or in conjunction with the book Grace in the Shadows.

When adult survivors consider  seeking relief from the long-term emotional scars from childhood sexual abuse,  just  the  thought  of it  can be terribly overwhelming.  Most of us wonder where and how to begin.

I remember the fear I felt when beginning the first stage of my healing process.  I wished there was something tangible to help me... a tool to point me in the right direction.  I understand how alone one can feel. I knew that it would be comforting to have a way of organizing the thoughts and feelings that survivors experience. I believed a guided journal could open dialogue between a counselor and client, or the survivor and their confidant.

Denise Jackson has created a compassionate, insightful and creative path for someone who has survived childhood sexual abuse (or other trauma).  Created as a kind of pilgrimage, this is a path of discovery and healing through guided exercises and journaling.  As a pilgrimage, the destination is relationship, but with a journey that supports personal growth and wholeness in what we bring to relationships with God and with others.     Ray Rother, Ph.D., LCSW-C
